Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot

Laura is the culmination of the work we do as a family, showcasing the Colchagua D.O. in its full splendor. It is a classic Bordeaux blend, featuring the four varieties preferred by each family member: Cabernet Sauvignon is Don Alejandro and Cristián's favorite, as they feel it provides backbone and elegant cassis. Cabernet Franc is favored by Alejandro and Cecilia for its exceptional structure and texture. Laura prefers Malbec for its floral aromas, while Petit Verdot was Pablo's favorite for its graphite note.

The wine undergoes a triple selection process: first in the vineyard—row by row—then with the grapes, and finally with the barrels. The grapes are fermented in small tanks, no larger than 1 ton, and the wine is moved by gravity, without pumping, to ensure careful handling at each stage. 100% of the wine is aged in new French oak barrels for 20 months and then spends over 1 year in the bottle before being released to the market. Our Family Edition wine was born from the need and concern of our Winemaker to create a classic red blend, which would reflect the potential of these varieties and the quality of the fruit received year after year.

The wine is aged in 50% new French oak barrels for 20 months, followed by 6 to 12 months in bottle before release.

Creating this wine offers our winemaker a space with absolute freedom to express his passions, convictions and ideas to create a unique wine, with a personal stamp, being a tribute to the Hartwig family.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Bold, with attitude

Alejandro Hartwig, a viticulturist, personally oversees the care of each vine. These wines reflect the evolution of the work done in the vineyard over the years. Through trials and errors, we have improved orientation, density, and irrigation techniques throughout the entire field. The wines are well-structured with seamlessly integrated fruit. They undergo aging for 14 to 20 months in French oak barrels, ranging from 1st to 3rd use, as well as in concrete eggs, depending on the grape variety, and exhibit a distinct varietal character.

Although these grape varieties were previously entirely blended into our Family Edition and Laura wines, they thrive so well in our vineyard that we felt they deserved their own space. Produced in limited quantities, these wines do not go unnoticed and undoubtedly showcase a more daring style of winemaking in Chile.

PETIT VERDOT

Expresión & Frescor

Este rango se desmarca de la línea tradicional de la Viña, ya que son vinos jóvenes, con una maduración en acero inoxidable o huevo de cemento. El resultado es un vino particularmente fresco, liviano, a la vez complejo.

Aquí cada variedad se muestra en su forma más pura, permitiendo que el terroir demuestre su real identidad, donde la fruta tiene la última palabra.

Los vinos tienen screwcap para asegurar máxima frescura y además, sugerimos disfrutarlos a 14°- 15° c idealmente como aperitivo o para disfrutar solo.

“Laluca” es el nombre que con cariño la familia y los más cercanos se refieren a Laura y la etiqueta representa su jardín, con sus colores y aromas que ella tanto ama.

Expresión & Frescor

Laluca stands out from the traditional line of the Vineyard, since they are young wines, matured in stainless steel or cement egg, without any barrels. The result is a particularly fresh, light, yet complex wine.

Aquí cada variedad se muestra en su forma más pura, permitiendo que el terroir demuestre su real identidad. Como no se usa barrica, la fruta tiene la última palabra. Muestran exuberante fruta y una frescura agradecida por los consumidores. Los vinos tienen screwcap para asegurar máxima frescura y además, sugerimos disfrutarlos enfriados.
